Untitled Nude

I have been painting and drawing nudes since I was about five years old. I remember my first grade teacher called a parent teacher conference with my parents; she was concerned with my subject matter at that age, which was that of nude women. Reviving my nudes from the rendering of realistic to abstract human form was the most exciting part for me over all. Soft color and soft edges to compliment a woman’s body, gradient transitions of color softening the tones of the skin… I felt this became a success when I could just let the paint flow onto the canvas, straight from the brush not worrying too much about perfecting the line. Many women love my nude paintings - the image becomes sensual without being overtly sexual. I enjoy how my play with form and color allows the viewer to complete the painting themselves in their mind’s eye.
