Gallery of Work

The process in which I work is somewhat lengthy and tedious in its detail of layering and technique. I call it a science experiment.  My favorite painting professor once told me, “You should never really preconceive what your end result will be”.  Starting with watercolor and pencil, I sketch my ideas, then the sketches that transfer to the canvas with oils is where the fun begins. I have always admired the Impressionists and tried to incorporate their style into my own. I found my style through years of painting and the journey of struggling with just laying the paint down and not touching it again. Now I have embraced my style, allowing it to connect with the way I see life – A strong appreciation for the lighter views of life’s obscurity in meaning, and the mysterious journey that we enjoy everyday.
